Does technology distract you from parenting?
Thu Jun 10, 2010
If this is the case, then is it any wonder that kids get into trouble like neighborhood property damage?!
U.S. split over Ariz. immigration law
Thu May 13, 2010
BRAVOs and HURRAHs to AZ; why is everyone getting so upset, AZ is only enforcing a FEDERAL law that has appeared to have fallen through the cracks. MY father spent 7 years studying to become a US Citizen and was proud to be sworn it; so there's no empathy/sympathy here in DE.
Will you pay a fee to store your carry-on?
Tue Apr 6, 2010
IF carry-ons were limited to only one, about the size of a computer case, then there wouldn't be a reason for lack of space; I've seen as many as 3 per person and that takes up the whole bin. I won't fly where there's a carry-on charge; the USPS will get my business.
What do you think about schools giving kids a day off for sunny weather?
Wed Mar 24, 2010
What's the difference between a snow day and a 'sunny day'? Nothing...it still has to be made up! As it is now, the USA's school systems allow too many days off anyway; the children's academic progress is so far behind from other countries like Japan, China, etc.
More school? Obama could trim summer break
Mon Sep 28, 2009
All I can say is...it's about TIME! When looking for statistics, don't forget the burglary & crime rate ALSO increases when tweenagers & teenagers are bored by August 1st. Yes, get these kids back in school; 2 weeks at Christmas AND 4 weeks around Independence Day is ENOUGH.
Does all Brett Favre's flip-flopping taint his legacy?
Tue Aug 18, 2009
Respect??? Forget about it;I lost it after his first 'comeback' after leaving the Packers,I hope the Packers bury him when they play the Vikings and the Green Bay Fans boo him when he shows up in their stadium.
Is the U.S. doing enough to lessen the impact of military parents’ deployment on their children?
Thu Aug 13, 2009
Just as police officer's immediate families are counselled during the cadet's training, so should the immediate family of the service man/woman. The VA system is NOT doing enough for these patriotic members of our society.
Do the crime, pay for the time, as in $90 a day
Wed Aug 5, 2009
YES, a thousand times...yes; prisoners (any level...misdeamnor or felony...1 day or life) need to pay for their incarceration.
